How to Avoid Blowouts: Fit, Position, and Timing

Blowouts happen when gaps meet pressure. The quickest prevention is a higher back panel and the right size. Pull the diaper up so the back sits higher than the front—especially for babies who sleep on their back.

Make sure cuffs are fluffed outward and tabs are even. If blowouts are frequent, try sizing up. A too-small diaper can’t contain volume, especially after feeds.

Timing helps too: a change right after a feed and before longer naps reduces the chance of overflow. With the right fit and a quick cuff check, blowouts become rare.
